    Atlas Mountains (Khenifra) in Morocco (Loc IM72er) from Apr 3-30.

    Elio,F/IZ2RLJ, and Max,F/IK1RGI, will be QRV from a glacier at the
    Mont Blanc (4000m a.s.l.) on Mar 31 (or Apr 14). They plan to work
    on 14277 kHz or 14287 kHz starting at 1400 UTC,
    on 7167 kHz or 7177 kHz starting at 1500 UTC,
    on 3667 kHz or 3677 kHz from 1600 UTC and from 1800-1900 UTC.
    Their equipment is a FT-857, a 17Ah battery and a 10m fishing rod wire.

    The special event station 8J10SAI is activated until Mar 31 to mark
    the 10th anniversary of the city of Saitama (capital of the prefecture
    Saitama) in Kanto region on Honshu (AS-007, WLOTA 2376).QSL via bureau.
    The special event station 8J6O is on the air till Dec 31 and celebrates
    the 70th anniversary of the city of Omura (JCC 4205) in the prefecture
    Nagasaki on Kyushu Island (AS-077, WLOTA 0963). QSL via bureau.
    The special event station 8J7EQ remembers last year's big earthquake in
    Japan in all modes on HF until Sep 30. QSL via bureau.
    The special event station 8J7FUKKO is supporting the reconstruction
    after the big earthquake and Tsunami of the city of Kesennuma (JCC 605)
    in the prefecture Miyagi/Tohoku region on Honshu (AS-007, WLOTA 2376)

    The special event station 8N1TW is active until Jul 28 to mark the
    completion of transition to digital terrestrial TV broadcasting in JA.

    for three days starting on Mar 27 (see below at IOTA news).

    Hermann,DL2NUD (XV4HP), and Peter,DJ4TC (3W4TC), plan to activate
    Vietnam via EME from Grid Loc OK10 between Mar 28 and Apr 10 and from
    Grid Loc OK20 from Apr 12-20. They will use 17 ele yagi, DB6NT preamp,
    HLV 2000 Beko on 144.144 MHz; a 38 ele yagi, DB6NT preamp, 50 watts on
    432.090 MHz and a 62 ele yagi with DB6NT preamp on 1296.120 MHz.

    Apr 18 is the "World Amateur Radio Day". The International Amateur
    Radio Union (IARU) was founded 87 years ago. The first amateur radio
    satellite OSCAR 1 was launched into space on Dec 12, 1961, and the
    second one OSCAR 2 on Jun 2, 1962.
    Several IARU members will activate different special event stations
    (e.g. 6H6IARU, 3G73IARU and LZ1WARD) throughout the year.

EU-005, G/M, Great Britain: Somem members of the Medway Amateur Receiving &
    Transmitting Society are using the special callsign GB5MW until Mar 31
    from Fort Amherst (CASHOTA G449, Loc JO01GJ, WLOTA 1841). This call is
    celebrates the 90th anniversary of the club. QSL via G5MW.

EU-022, JX, Jan Mayen Island: Svein,LA9JKA, is working from Olonkin Base
    on Jan Mayen (EU-022, WLOTA 1454) from Mar 29 until Mar 20, 2013.
    He will sign JX9JKA in all modes on all HF bands during his spare time.
    QSL only direct via LA9JKA, no eQSL. Log will be uploaded to the LoTW.

EU-115, EI/GI/MI, Ireland: The special event station GI100MGY is working
    from Belfast in April. MGY was the callsign of the Titanic which was
    built in belfast in 1911. GI100 is a rare special prefix which was
    issued for the project "WhiteStar". Activities are planned in all modes
    on 80m-10m. They will make a radio silence for two minutes on Apr 15
    at 01:47 am to remember the Titanic and their casualties. They will
    work mainly in CW on Apr 14/15. QSL via GI4FUE (direct/bureau).

SA-039, CX, Maldonado/Rocha Department group: Some members of the Radio Club
    Uruguayo and the Uruguay DX Group will use the callsign CW5GI from
    Gorriti Island (WLOTA 2172, Loc GF25MA) on Mar 30/31 and Apr 1.
    This is only the second time this island is activated. QSL via ON5NT.
