FOLLOW THE TORCH AWARD The "Worked All Britain Awards Group" supports a special award on the occasion of the Olympic torch relay through Greeat Britain. The torch relay will take place from Lands End through the whole United Kingdom to the Olympic Park in London between May 19 and July 27. SILENT KEY ....

Lawrence A. Gandy,AH8LG, passed away on May 8 at the age of 80. The president of the American Samoa Amateur Radio Association (ASARA) was an active DXer and supported many DXpeditions to the South Pacific.
Xavier Paradel,EA3ALV, died on May 12. He was director of the Spanish edition of "CQ Radio Amateur".
Our condolences and sympathy are with their families and friends. We do not want to be sad that we lost them, but grateful that we could get to know them as a radio friend. We will always keep them in memory.

The five "last" islands are Muckle Green Holm (IOSA OR32, SCOTIA OI20), Linga Holm (IOSA OR31, SCOTIA OI21), Eynhallow (IOSA OR24, SCOTIA OI24), Faray (IOSA OR23, SCOTIA OI28) and Calf of Eday (IOSA OR29, SCOTIA OI29) The visit depends on the weather conditions since access to the island is not always easy.
