TONY'S 10 METRE REPORT - 24 MAIO de 2012

10:08 Fernando Luiz de Souza 0 Comments

TGFW, (Thank Goodness For Weekends) especially Sunday this week. 7O6T vanished mid week and left E40VB (Palestine), A60ITU (United Arab Emirates) and FY5PO (French Guiana) during the week with XX9E (Macau) and 6V7S (Senegal) top at the weekend.
I’ve been to Macau, the gambling capital of China, off shore of course. Fabulous hotels, casinos and the like. Didn’t lose any money, didn’t bet.
Dave, VK5MRD, is sending QSL cards via the WIA bureau and would like to know if anyone has received a card yet. He can be contacted at his email address on QRZ.com where you can also see his nice new IC 7410 and a new 5 element mono-bander (Oh envy). The dog pampering business must be good VK!
Dave worked DG6PY/P, DK9JI, IK4DCX, F6BIA, 9A7JCY, DL7EF, PD0AG, SP5AUY, G3NAE, UR5XDV, HB9PHJ, CT2FXR, IK1TXM, UT4IO and ZL1BTB all on Monday and Tuesday all in the space of about 14 minutes RX3ZX, SP6BXZ, UT6MO, UR3CTB, HA2MI and 9A2EU.
Melvyn, MI0MSR has been at PSK31 on ten metres again with good results. He worked DG3YMT 5/9, DL7MO 5/9, DL3FCG 5/9, ON4CKC 5/9, HA1DRA 5/9, DL5MDV 5/9, DL1IP 5/9, IN3RSV 5/9, F5GPE 5/9 and OM2AOA 5/9 under his MQ0MSR callsign. You have to tell us what you are using Melvyn?
Arie 9W2VVH is back with us. Sunday May 20 th he worked 9 stns : F2YT/P, HZ1TT, BG7BDB, F4DSD, ID9Z, EA5GUI, LA1OI, A62A & IK1ZOD.
Monday only 3 stations : UU8IF, IZ7FMM & local 9W2WWW.
Tuesday around 0730-0915utc 25 stations R1945HS, RZ6BX, OM0CS, EA5GUI, UA3AHA, IZ2ODM, M5AFD, DO3ALF/M, I2PY, DG1VL, UA9SOR, SP3YA, ON4WVK, S57AC, SP3FFK, PD7JB, EA2DNY, UA6FZ, DF4SI, F8FBB, F6DZU, RA6MA, HB9AUS, UR5MFI & F5NPS. Summary of QSOs: UA9=1, SP=2, ON=2, OM=1, UA=5, EA=2, I=3, M=1, DL=3, S5=1, PD=1, F=3, HB=1 & UR=1 :). Good stuff especially as my lists don’t show Tuesday as a good day.

Sun: Four sunspot clusters but non are actually flaring. Activity is generally low.
Some spectacular photos of the annular eclipse on spaceweather.com
No Stoke City news but England did beat the Windies in the first Test at Lord’s. and of course Chelsea beat Bayern to lift the European Cup. Interesting stats on Chelsea next week.
