24/08/2012: Operator Paul, 2E0TJF, is now active as ZD9KN and takes up the position of radio / electronics technician at Gough Station (SANAP Weather Station), Gough Island (AF-030, WFF GFF-028), until 30th September 2012. Using an FT-2000, directive multiband, and Inverted-V, look for Paul on 160-10 metre SSB only. QSL via direct only to IZ0UIM, plus eQSL or LoTW. Logs will be uploaded to Club Log. 25/08/2012: Dennis, K7BV, having recovered from a serious medical condition, is returning to Asia for a short visit between 25th August and 2nd September 2012. He will be using his HS0ZKS callsign on all HF bands from the home of John, HS1CHB, in Bangkok, Thailand, and hopes to QSO friends from around the world. 25/08/2012: IB0E will be active from Isola di Ventotene (EU-045, IIA LT-011, MIA MI-118, WFF IFF-110, WLOTA 1403), Lazio region, on 25-31 August. Plans are to operate SSB and digital modes on 80-10 metres, hopefully with two stations. QSL via operator's instructions. [425 DX News]

31/08/2012: Hans, DF2UU, informs OPDX that he will once again be active from the QTH of Martin, V51W, in Omaruru, Namibia (WW Loc. JG78XO) between the end of August to the middle of September 2012 as V5/DF2UU. Activity will be on 160-6 me tres. He will also be active during some contests. In the SSB Field Day (1-2 September), he (and others) will be active as V55V/P as a Multi-Single entry. In the WAEDC SSB (8-9 September), he states that the callsign is not sure, but if he works Single-Op it will be V5/DF2UU and if it is Multi-Op then V55V. QSL V5/DF2UU via home call. 07/09/2012: Lance, W7GJ and Bob, ZL1RS will be active from Niue Island (OC-040, WLOTA 2139, WW Loc. AH51BA) on 7-21 September 2012 as E6M and E6RS, respectively. Lance will focus on 6 metre EME (50.190 MHz), while Bob will focus on 2 metre EME operation. They might stray to other bands during their stay on Niue. 14/09/2012: Ulf, DL5AXX, will once again be going to the Republic of Palau as a combined dive-radio-holiday. Operation will take place from the Palau rental shack, West Plaza by the Sea Hotel, Koror Island, Palau (OC-009, WW Loc. PJ77FI), from 14-28th September 2012. 04/10/2012: After our very sucsessfull trip in 2009 and 2010 Harry, PA1H and Nico, PA7PA will be QRV again as OZ/homecalls from Langø Island (EU-172, DIA FY-025 from 4th until 12th October 2012. Langø island belongs to Langeland Island but it's off Langeland. Actually it's a very small island with only one house. This time they will activate the 30 metre band and use more digi-modes from 80-10 metres. When possible they will try 160 metres too. Special attention this time for stations outside Europe. Bill anticipates 3, maybe 4, operators with 2 stations, with one on the air 24/7. Focus will be to work as many stations as possible, plus 160 metres - mainly CW. 24/08/2012: Kent Weald Radio Club is operating GB1HA from Friday 24 August until Sunday 2 September 2012. The event is part of sponsored activities being held at the Headcorn Aerodrome, Kent, in aid of the air ambulance and other local charities, and to demonstrate amateur radio to any visitors. 24/08/2012: Members of the Belotserkovsky Radio Club (BCRC) plan to be active as EM0UBC from 24-26th August 2012, to celebrate the Ukraine's Independence Day. The BCRC will operate from the territory of the Aleksandria Dendrology Park (WFF URFF-091), National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine (Ukrainian Flora Fauna - UYFF-033). 28/08/2012: On August 30th the Netherlands will celbrate the official return of the Dutch astronaut André Kuipers. During his long stay at the International Space Station he was also active by the callsign PI9ISS. The station will be active from 28 August until 2 September 2012 from the Noordwijk Lighthouse (Netherlands 1324, Admiralty B0760, ARLHS NET 019), also the location of PG6N. During the welcome party on 30 August PA6ISS will be active for the public at a exhibition. We hope that PI9ISS will join for a moment the station too.
