     He uses an IC706 with 50 watts, dipoles or MP1 on 40m-10m especially on

     After a two week vacation in the Maldives, Mike,UA1QV, will be heading
     back to work in Vila de Catoca (LOC KI00dn) about 30 km from Saurimo.
     Once again he will be active as D3AA from Nov 15 until Feb 15.
     Reports indicate that he is taking with him a 2 ele 40m rotatable quad
     and a fixed 2 ele 80m quad antenna. QSL via UA1QV.

E5, SOUTH COOK ISLANDS, OC-013
     Henrik,OZ6TL, will be active in holiday style signing E51TLA from
     Rarotonga (OC-013) in CW and RTTY between Nov 18 and Dec 8.

EL, LIBERIA
     the VooDoo Contest Group is active again from the capital Monrovia
     for the 24th time from Nov 17-27. They plan to join the WWDX CW Contest
     in the M/M category as EL2A. Outside of the contest the operators will
     use their own personal callsigns Ned,AA7A (EL2ES), Roger,G3SXW (EL2A),
     Fred,G4BWP (EL2WP), John,G4IRN (EL2RN), Mike,KC7V (EL2MF),
     Lee,KY7M (EL2LF), and Bud,N7CW (EL2CW). Logs will be uploaded to LoTW
     and ClubLog (with OQRS) as soon as possible.

F, FRANCE
     Rodrigue,F8DFO, and Jeremy,F4DVJ, are going to activate the special

     "New DXCC Entity Activation" with almost 36.000 QSOs in Oct 2010.

PZ, SURINAME
     Yuri,VE3DZ, will be QRV as PZ5T from Nov 20-27 and in the WWDX Contest.

SV, GREECE
     All licensees in Greece are allowed to work on HF now, CW knowledge is
     not necessary anymore. The current SW prefixes of the former VHF/UHF
     HAMs are changed to SV while keeping the suffix, SW1XYZ is SV1XYZ then.
     The J4 special callsigns will expire at the end of the year and will
     not be issued anymore. Instead they will use SW prefixes, SW9C was QRV
     already. One fo the last chances to work J43J (most likely on 10m)
     will be during the WWDX CW Contest. QSL for J43J via DJ5JH.

TJ, CAMEROON
     Nicolas,F8FQX (ex-5T5SN, ex-TN5SN), will stay in Yaounde (Loc JJ53su)
     for the next three or four years. At the moment he is waiting for his
     licence, he has applied for TJ3SN. Details are not known. Stay tuned!

VK9/LH, LORD HOWE ISLAND, OC-004
     Seppo,VK9/OH1VR, and Henri,VK9/OH3JR, are planning to activate
     Lord Howe Island (OC-004, VKFF-295, Loc QF98) in CW/SSB/RTTY on 160m-6m
     from Nov 17-27, including the WWDX CW Contest.

YA, AFGHANISTAN
     Mike,KI4MRH, is working as T6MH on 80m-10m (not on 30m) in SSB and
     digital modes (PSK-31/PSK-63/JT-65) until Oct 2013. He runs 100 watts
     in SSB and 30 watts in digital modes with 40m Inverted Vee and
     20m vertical. Only eQSLs available at the moment but Mike wants to
     create a LoTW account as well. Paper QSLs only direct via homecall.

YN, NICARAGUA
     Mike,AJ9C, announced to be QRV as YN2CC from Grenada in Nicaragua
     (Loc EK71au) from Nov 20-28, incl. the SOLP category of the WWDX CW.
     He works in CW, SSB and RTTY (with 3 ele Quad for 6m @ 65') on 160m-6m.

SILENT KEYS: Frank Scotland, ZF1GC, passed away at the age of 94.
     Marjoke (Mary),ZS5V, XYL of Joost,ZS5S, informs us that her husband
     became a silent key on Oct 29 after a 3 month battle with cancer.
     He died peacefully at home.
     Pieter Botha ("The African Cowboy"),ZS4PB, passed away on November 7,
     aged 86. Pieter was a Topband DXer and one of the best known African
     DXers of the past 60 years.
     Our condolences and sympathy are with their families and friends.
     We do not want to be sad that we lost them, but grateful that we could
     get to know them as a radio friend. We will always keep them in memory.

     is active from onboard the Royal Research Ship "James Clark Ross" from
     the South Atlantic. Whilst in Antarctic and Falkland Islands waters he
     uses the call VP8CMH/mm, at all other times he uses GM0HCQ/mm. The ship
     will stop at the base "M" (WAP GBR-24/WFF GFF-023) at King Edward Point
     on South Georgia (AN-007) on Nov 18/19. Mike hopes this will be an
     overnight stop which would increase the time of being active as VP8SGK.

EU-026, JW, Spitsbergen Island: Jorn,LA1U, Borge,LA4KQ, and Olav,LA9OI, are
     going to hit the airwaves from the QTH of JW5E on Svalbard signing
