W, USA The Tuckerton Wireless Amateur Radio Club, the Old Barney Amateur Radio Club and the South Jersey DX Association are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the "Tuckerton Wireless" (WSC). Members will use W2WSC/100 from their home stations while W2WSC/WSC will be used from the last operating site of the Marine Coastal Radio Station WSC in West Creek, NJ. Furthermore W2WSC/40 will be activated from the Giffordtown Museum on Nov 17 (1500-2100 UTC) to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Tuckerton Historical Society. QSLs via W2WSC.

New IOTA Checkpoint: Alejandro Valdez, XE1EE (iota.mexico@gmail), is the new IOTA checkpoint for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean Islands (islands belonging to the USA and France excluded) starting on Nov 1.

Hurricane damage and trouble: Dennis,K7BV, was contacted by Eduardo,CO8LY, stating that hurricane Sandy destroyed his house and everything he had. His mother is very ill as well. Dennis is willing to serve as a collection point for others wishing to send help. Eduardo can be contacted also via his QSL manager EA7ADH.
