TONY'S 10 METRE BAND REPORT - September 5 , 2013

September 5 , 2013

A fairy mediocre week with different top DX station each day and Saturday proving to be unusually poor.
Me, I didn’t get to work anyone, far too busy fixing stuff at my daughter’s house.

Ivan, EA8YG // EE8YG will be active from La Graciosa just north of Lanzarote. He says,
“Estare activo desde el día 2 al día 15 de septiembre 6m a 80 m. He llegado esta tarde he instalado la vertical de 80 m, mañana instalo el dipolo de 6 a 40 m. Yo publicare en DX SUMMIT y DXFUNCLUSTER los momentos de actividad.”

And for those of you who don’t read Spanish, roughly translated he says “I will be active from 2nd to 15th September on 6m through to 80m. I have arrived this evening, have installed the 80m vertical and tomorrow will install the dipole for 6 to 40m. I will publish the times of activity in DX SUMMIT and DXFUNCLUSTER.”

Many thanks for that Ivan.
Friday, Jaco PE2JB, worked : E720SRRS 5/9, YY5SKA 5/8, AA4HP 5/3, and VP2EPE 5/1.
“Hello Tony first of all thank you, for all the nice info on your web-site, great web-site and I hope you keep on with it. Friday night 24:00 Dutch time very good condix on 10m, band was open to north and south USA.”

Thanks for the kind words about the web site but I only write the Ten Metre article. The website is owned by and edited by G4TUT, Richard. However there are no photos of Richard available on the website, he’s a secretive sort.

Sun: All of the sunspots on the Earthside of the sun are stable and quiet. NOAA forecasters estimate a slight 5% chance of M-class solar flares and no more than a 1% chance of X-class flares on Sept. 4th. (spaceweather.com)

Stoke City rack up 3 more points by beating West Ham. We are now 5th between Arsenal and Spurs 2 above Manchester United. A break for International matches now.
