AUSTRALIA 11589.994 Now HCA renamed as "Reach Beyond Australia" or
"life-changing medical resource" ...

gelistet.

TX off genau um 15.00:10 UT.

aendert?

"life-changing medical resource" ...
Da war wohl die strategisch akademische Topmanagement-Beratung
wie McKinsey am Werk?
<https://reachbeyond.org/>
man sucht auch technisches Personal
<https://christianmedia.org.au/tag/reach-beyond/>

Dear Wolfy,
11590v I could not check it before 1345 hrs as I was not at home. It
seems they are not using 11595 kHz at 1330 hrs onwards (will check
tomorrow right from 1230 hrs UT whether they're using 11595 kHz or not).

Yes the sound files you linked is certainly before 1400 hrs UT it was in
Hindi and after 1400 hrs UT it was in Urdu.

Today towards the end of the Urdu b'cast around 1358 hrs UT they've
announced a P.O.Box in Singapore.

Also exactly at 1430 hrs suddenly noted an improved signals on 11590 kHz
- not sure whether they've changed the antenna.

Will watch further and try to send some sound samples tomorrow.

CUBA Yes amigos, this is Radio Havana Cuba, and here are some recent
schedule changes that took place on July 25th ...

Starting on Friday July 25th UTC day, we are no longer using 9550 kHz from
11 to 13 hours UTC, and also NOT using 15340 kHz from 13 to 15 hours
UTC...

Then, here is now another important schedule change ... since Friday July
25th, our 11760 kHz frequency continues to be on the air after 15 hours
UTC, and until 19 hours UTC broadcasting programs that we were previously
only streaming to the Internet.

The first three hours from 15 to 18 UTC are in Spanish, broadcasing our
new CUBA ONLINE magazine show that received many nice reports from
listeners picking it up via the streaming audio from
<www.radiohc.cu>
and who suggested that we made it available also via short wave, something
we have done using a 100 kiloWatts transmitter on 11760 kHz with the 6dB
gain omnidirectional antenna[*] that provides coverage to parts of North
America, all of Central America and the Caribbean, as well as the northern
areas of South America.

[* 100kW of power mean older Bauta site transmission center service
is in use, wb. ]

Reports received so far confirm what our engineering department had
calculated to be the 80 percent of the time service pattern. So, give it a
try, and tune in to 11760 kiloHertz from Radio Havana Cuba from 15 to 18
hours UTC and then from 18 to 19 hours UTC in other Arabic and Portuguese
{#} ...*

# But Glenn Hauser-OK-USA noted French-Creole language service instead of
Portuguese on July 29 and 30:

11760 on July 30 at 1801 UT, checking out the extended 15-19 UT
transmission of RHC: introducing Arabic "en FM e internet", but not
mentioning SW, and indeed into Arabic; 1829 UT Spanish music fill, 1831 UT
Spanish introducing Creole en FM e internet, and into Creole, not
Portuguese as Arnie imagines.

11840 on July 30 at 2014 UT, however, really is in Brazuguese on RHC
European service, undermodulated and hummy; wiggle that patchcord.

FRANCE/SOUTH AFRICA RFI: shortwave gone, English reconfigured.
RFI is now among those broadcasters who have ended regular shortwave
usage.
(Richard Cuff-PA-USA, Easy Listening, August NASWA Journal via dxld)

What?? I thought they still had a number of French, Hausa, Swahili SW
broadcasts to Africa, as well as Vietnamese, Russian, Farsi.

He then goes on to explain how to listen in English online, which indeed
was dropped from SW some time ago.

HFCC still shows a lot of broadcasts, altho probably over-registered, and
some of them don't start until Sept with seasonal frequency changes:
<http://www.hfcc.org/data/schedbybrc.php?seas=A14&broadc=RFI>

Beware of the very first entry, 02-03 on 11995 kHz, which is really a
relay of Taiwan in Spanish, not RFI itself!!!

Note that the only sites here are ISSoudun, FRANCE and MEYerton, SOUTH
AFRICA.

Tho we know they are also using TAIWAN, banned from HFCC by the ChiCom,
e.g. QRMing WRMI on 9955. Of course all those registrations thru 30 Aug or
25 Oct could be wiped out in an instant if RFI really decide to delete all
shortwave.

RFI has been reported on SW the last few days, such as:

"11605 SOUTH AFRICA Radio France Int'l via Meyerton at 0630 in French, man
and woman with news - Fair July 30 Harold Sellers-BC, dxld"

"7340 0457 SOUTH AFRICA. Radio France International - Meyerton, 0437-0457*
July 26, man and woman talking in Swahili language with periodic
local music vocal selections. ID at 0456 followed by a woman with
closedown announcements and brief African vocals until the
transmission carrier was terminated. Fair to good.
(Rich D'Angelo-PA, July NZ DX Times via DXLD)"

Another version is in EiBi, searching on France Int.

signal noted in downunder Queensland-AUS remote unit post at 0626 UT on
July 29.

9525.891 VoIndonesia in Chinese, from Cimanggis site noted at 1140 UT
July 29. Poor signal in AUS, hit heavily by CNR 11th program in Tibetan
language on 9530 kHz from Baoji-Sifangshan #724 tx site, latter S=9+10dB
or -69dBm, much stronger than VoINS signal at this hour.

9525.891 - at 15-16 UT hour today in scheduled Chinese language.

3344.87 RRI Ternate at 1212 UT on July 29. All during Ramadan Ternate did
not carry the Jakarta news relay, but as Ramadan is now over, they are in
fact relaying the news; at the end of the news (1217 UT) played the usual
patriotic song "Bagimu Negeri" (For You Our Country); news and song // RRI
Palangkaraya (3325 kHz). BTW - RRI Makassar (4749.95 kHz) continues silent
through July 29.

A reminder - This coming Friday (August 1), at the end the 1200 UT news,
we can expect that the RRI stations will switch over to playing the
patriotic song "Dirgahayu Indonesiaku" during the whole month, to mark
their independence anniversary during August. An audio I made several
years ago is at -
<https://app.box.com/s/40922c8d849461cd0e41>

August 17 will be their actual Independence Day. Thanks go to Alan Davies
for originally pointing out this unique annual event to me.

PAKISTAN 711 Radio Pakistan installs new transmitter at DI Khan.

Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Samina Parvez will
inaugurate the transmitter on Thursday, Aug 7th.

Radio Pakistan has installed a new high-power transmitter at Dera Ismail
Khan to boost reach and quality of its broadcasts.

The transmitter will be inaugurated at a ceremony at DI Khan on August
7, 2014, where Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation
Samina Parvez will be the chief guest.

The new 100 kW transmitter, installed with the assistance of USAID,
replaces 10 kW low power transmitter.

The new digital transmitter is strong enough to carry broadcasts of DI
Khan Radio to a radius of 160 kilometer during day time and over
400 kilometer during night, making broadcasts audible in entire KPK,
FATA, many areas of Balochistan, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and some
areas of Afghanistan.

The project is part of the plan being implemented by Radio Pakistan to
replace old transmitters with modern digital transmitters.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA Great signals from Papua New Guinea this morning around
my local 1111 UT sunrise.

3205 NBC Radio Sandaun, Vanimo, on 4 Aug at 1050 UT - long monologue in
Tok Pisin, announcer in English with Monday evening greetings just after
top of hour, NBC bird call at 1103 UT followed by NBC National news
bulletin read by man followed by a brief news bulletin in Tok Pisin read
by a woman, music, man with what sounded to be sports news in English from
1116 UT as the signal was fading. Good S7 signal with moderate static
crashes.

3260 NBC Radio Madang, Madang, on 4 Aug at 1050 UT - talk in Tok Pisin,
local music past top of hour, NBC bird call at 1103 UT followed by NBC
National news bulletin read by man English followed by a brief news
bulletin in Tok Pisin read by a woman then back to English. Good S7 signal
with significant static crashes.

3385 NBC Radio East New Britain, Rabaul, on 4 Aug at 1050 UT- spots for
religious service, mechanic, cinema, etc. Instrumental music from 1058 UT
past the top of the hour, NBC bird call at 1103 UT followed by NBC
National news bulletin read by man, NBC Provincial News read by woman from
1106 until 1116 UT. All in English. Excellent S9 signal.
(Brandon Jordan-TN-USA, dxld Aug 4)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA [and non]. 3205 on Aug 4 at 1102 UT, YL talk on very
poor signal, maybe Tok Pisin rather than straight English; 3260 kHz sounds
like the same, but both too weak for // matching on second receiver. 3385
kHz also has non-// YL talk of a lower pitched voice, with signal up to
poor level; at 1113 UT still talk, no music on any of them. Copy is tough
with storm QRN level.

Anyhow, these three frequencies match the 3 August report to ARDXC from
Craig Seager, visiting Berry Creek, Northern Territory, as the "only
active PNG stations on SW" (plus 7325 kHz WRL). I also hear algo on
3325 kHz which is probably Indonesia, confirmed active the past week by
Atsunori Ishida, tho today's monitoring is not yet posted.

KBS Listeners Convention Berlin Germany, on 4th Oct at 14 UT.

Einladung zum 10. KBS Hoerertreffen im Herbst in Berlin.

Liebe Freunde,

anbei sende ich Euch eine Einladung zum 10. KBS Hoerertreffen im Herbst in
Berlin.

Besuch besonders lohnen duerfte.

Oktober 2014 in Berlin.

Beste 73 aus Berlin,
Andreas Muecklich, via Volker Willschrey, 6. August.

ausgesucht. Das "HO DO RI" befindet sich in der Goebenstr. 16 in 10783

Mail an
<KBS-Hoerertreffen-Berlin -at- willi-stengel.de>
