Tony's 10 Metre Band Report - April 28, 2016

April 28, 2016

Another dull week though Sunday wasn’t too bad. I just find it very difficult to get on at the weekend what with family and soccer team commitments.

I did hear some Italian stations along with Cuba and Spain on JT65 and St Helena on SSB but couldn’t get through to any of them. A brief QSY to 17m got me Indonesia, USA and Japan on JT65.
Pride of place goes to Todd Baker, KM4IYW.

In his own words, “Tony I enjoy your report. 10 meter band has been very poor into my QTH in the of middle Tennessee USA. No stations to report today. Hope the band improves very soon. Thanks again Tony. 73”

Todd, it is good to know someone is reading this despite the poor conditions. Todd is a member of 10-10 International as am I, # 39925.
Popular DX was CV5A (Uruguay), PU5SSR (Brazil), CE0U/LU4DXU (Argentina), ZX5B (Brazil) and EP2A (Iran)

Sun: Just 3 sunspots with no chance of flares.

Stoke lost 4 – 0 to Manchester City. That’s 12 goals we’ve let in during the last three matches.
Sunderland at the Brit next Saturday. I’ll be there. It usually takes 3 hours to drive there or back. Not so long ago against Sunderland at the Brit it took me 13 hours to get back. The main motorways got locked up with snow. And we lost 0 – 1. It’s payback time!!
