                                        "DERVISH-75 Award

On August 29-31, Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk will hold festivities to mark the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the first allied convoy "Dervish" at the port of Arkhangelsk, the press service of the Arkhangelsk Region Governor and the local government reports.

During World War II, the Allies supplied military freight to the USSR's northern ports to assist the Soviet Union in the fight against Nazism. The first allied convoy "Dervish" which consisted of six vessels sailing under the flags of Great Britain and the Netherlands arrived in Arkhangelsk on August 31, 1941.  In all, 41 marine convoys delivered over 2 million metric tons of strategically important freight to the northern ports of the Soviet Union during World War II.

1. The award is available for QSOs made with special event station RD75PQ from 1 Aug to 1 Sep 2016.

2 QSO requirements:
     a. For radio amateurs from Europe 5 QSOs with RD75PQ
     b. For radio amateurs from Africa, North and South America, Asia, Oceania - 3 QSOs needed .

3. Repeat QSOs allowed if made on on different bands or in different modes: CW, PHONE, DIGI.

4. The award is free and available in electronic form upon the check of online log automatically. 

When you have made the required number of QSO, go to https://hamlog.ru/awards/r1o/dervish75/ . The computer system will check QSOs made and if you qualify, you will be sent an electronic file to be printed by your local printer.
