Sponsored by the the International HAM aviators club "Fifth Ocean" on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Sergey Pavlovich Korolev during the period 09 January 2017 till 15 January 2017.

Background: Sergey Pavlovich Korolyov, (1907 –1966) was the lead Soviet rocket engineer and spacecraft designer during the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s. He is considered by many as the father of practical astronautics. His greatest strengths proved to be in design integration, organization and strategic planning. He became a recognized rocket designer and a key figure in the development of the Soviet Intercontinental ballistic missile program. He was then appointed to lead the Soviet space program and made a Member of Soviet Academy of Sciences, overseeing the early successes of the Sputnik and Vostok projects including the first human Earth orbit mission by Yuri Alexeevich Gagarin on 12 April 1961. Korolev's unexpected death in 1966 interrupted implementation of his plans for a Soviet manned Moon landing before the United States 1969 mission.

Requirements: To obtain the Diploma you need to earn at least 110 points. The point values are:
1. QSO with Fifth Ocean member working /AM = 10 points.
2. QSO with Fifth Ocean members in honor = 10 points.
3. QSO with Fifth Ocean members worked on CW mode = 7 points.
4. QSO with Fifth Ocean members worked on Digital modes = 5 points.
5. QSO with Fifth Ocean members worked on SSB = 3 points.
5. QSO with AFARU members = 2 points (regardless of the mode).

Special Multipliers/Points:
1. For contacts made on 160M band add 5 points more.
2. During the days of activity 09 – 15 January 2017 points for QSO's established with members of The Fifth Ocean Club are doubled.
3. QSO with the same station counts only if made on different modes and different bands.
4. Only QSO's established in the period 9 January 2017 – 31 December 2017 will count.
