TONY'S 10 METRE BAND REPORT - March 9, 2016

March 9, 2016

No contacts for me during the last week, but now I’m back and will see what can be done.
VP6EU (Central African Republic) is still going strong, so is S01WS (Western Sahara), CV7S (Uruguay) and YV6CR (Venezuela). Conditions were reasonable all week and very good for the contest weekend.

Last week Andy, M0HLT, sent in a report that just missed the deadline. He heard 4X, FM and PY2 and said

“Hi Tony, hopefully this is not too late (Thursday) but just a observation of a Sproradic opening on 10 yesterday ( Wednesday) around 1600z to Israel (4X) and then West to Martinique (FM) then South to Brazil ( PY2) there was deep QSB on all signals ,and Rapid fading of signals, I've personally never seen the propagation change from East / West to South so quickly.

73”
Thanks Andy.

YV5RED/QRP, Raphael , worked PY2EPL -06 @2216 from 2204 to 2225 on a data mode. Raphael, perhaps you could tell us which data modes you prefer?

Sun: No sunspots for two days in a row.

Stoke play Manchester City tonight (Wednesday) instead of Saturday.

We will need to play really well to get any points. Last Saturday they beat Middlesbrough 2 – 0.
