The 24th Steam Locomotive Parade in Wolsztyn Award

The Award is issued by the Wolsztyn Amateur Radio Club SP3PWL. The purpose of the Award is to commemorate the 24st Steam Locomotive Parade, which takes place in Wolsztyn every year, and promote the Wolsztyn Locomotive Shed: , . A Locomotive Parade is an occation where antique steam powered engines and associated antique rail-cars are fueled up with coal or wood and then driven short distances to the accompaniment of a lot of smoke and steam which brings back the days when these railcars ruled heavy transportation. A lot of nostalgia and fun.

The Award is available to amateur radio operators and SWL’s.

A. To obtain the Award, Polish amateurs must make one QSO/HRD with the Wolsztyn Club Station SP3PWL(mandatory) plus three QSO’s/HRD’s with any of the following Club members:

B. Foreign stations need one QSO/HRD with SP3PWL and just one QSO with a Club member.

1. Any band, any mode may be used.

2. QSO’s/HRD’s made from April 25 to May 5, 2017, will be valid;

3. The most active operator will be granted a surprise award;

4, An electronic (pdf) award will be sent by e-mail free of charge to be printed at home;

5. You may ask for paper version, the fee is PLN 15 or EUR 5 to pay for printing and postage.
