TONY'S 10 METRE BAND REPORT - May 4, 2017

May 4, 2017

Monday wasn’t too bad, I worked quite a few OYs and OHs.

Generally speaking the rest of the week was poor. A25UK (Botswana) was much sought after but, try as I might, i could not hear him.

The best of the rest were 5V7P (Togo), E51DWC (South Cook Is), V53DX (Namibia) and a few others.
Steve, M0BPQ worked A25UK 55 and 529 and V51WW 52 on Friday.

He says “Not on a direct path, had to beam 120 degrees for peak signals. QTH Nr Chingford in North London.”
I could not hear a peep and I’m not far from Steve. But then he was using a tri-bander 32 m above ground.
This is Steve’s antenna tour at HereThe big yagi that has 8 elements for 10m was wound down.”
Yes, nice ones. Can’t compete with those.

Sun: Only two spots but new sunspot AR2654 is growing rapidly, but so far poses no threat for strong solar flares.

Stoke City drew 0 – 0 with West Ham. Typical middle of the table clash with very little on offer for either club near to the end of the season. Good to see Jack Butland back in goal. Bournemouth this weekend, we need a few goals, really we do.
