E5, SOUTH COOK ISLANDS Operators Wayne/N6NB and Carrie/W6TAI will be active as E51YNB and E51TAI, respectively, from Rarotonga Island (OC-013) for the IARU HF World Championship (July 14-15th). Activity is expected to start a few days before and after the contest. Operations will be on 40-15 meters SSB only. Wayne tells OPDX, " If all goes well we'll have an IC-7000 and a THP HL-550FX amp (500 watts), with a TH2 (Hy-Gain 2-element tribander) plus a dipole for 40. We may pass on 80 because the noise level there was extremely high when we were in Rarotonga for the ARRL Phone DX Contest." QSL both callsigns via N6NB.
