Logbook of The World Experiencing Maintenance Issues - 11/07/2012 ARRL Information Technology Manager Michael Keane, K1MK, is reporting that the Logbook of The World (LoTW) system is currently down for maintenance. "With the system temporarily down, radio amateurs are not able to access LoTW or upload their logs," Keane explained. "No data has been lost, and everyone's records are intact. We understand the problem and we are in the process of restoring service to LoTW, but we don't know when that will happen. Since both the Logbook of The World service and the Online DXCC service are connected to the ARRL Awards System, radio amateurs are not able to access either service until the system is restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and want to assure the amateur community that the ARRL is working diligently to restore service to these popular programs." UPDATE: Logbook of The World Expected to Be Back Online on November 9 [The ARRL Letter]

ZL9HR DX'Pedition to Campbell Island Info release #10 8/11/2012 Date: Thu, 08 Nov 2012 12:41:24 +1100

/One of the most important DX'peditions of the year is about to start./

ZL9HR will be active from the UNESCO World Heritage Campbell Island which is 650Km south of New Zealand in the Great Southern Ocean. This Sub-Antartic island is sought after not only for DXCC and IOTA (OC-037) awards but I have been informed by August HB9TZA, also for the World Flora and Fauna radio award where the island has the reference ZLFF-019. Please checkout www.wff44.org for details of that competition.

I am glad to report all plans are still on schedule and ZL9HR will be active on all bands from 160m to 6m from November 28th to December 9th from Campbell Island. Here's hoping for mild weather and good propagation for the event.

As always please refer to the DX'Pedition's website zl9hr.com/ for all details and latest updates.

Thanks, this is Ed VK2JI Australian Publicity Officer for ZL9HR.

73 and Good DX!
