TONY'S 10 METRE BAND REPORT - April 11, 2013

April 11, 2013

Well as most of our contributors are saying, it’s been an excellent week with lots of contacts so much so that to get into the list needs 5 contacts and 10 at
the weekend.
VK9CZ, T2YY, A3EAQ and 5W0M were all prominent with 5W0M probably just about top.

Good news from our Dave, VK5MRD
“Here is my latest report. After sending you my last I was able to work a few more on the 4th. Very busy once again but I did manage a few quick QSO`s. It was my wife's Birthday today, so no radio time but we all had a great day. Just found out she is pregnant with our second harmonic due early October!”
So it’s not all work for the lad.

He worked, 7J7ACT, A61ZZ, VK9CZ, UR3CTB, ES5QD, ZL3MYL, OH6NUW, SK2AT, ES5QD, ZL3MYL, W7CI and ZL1AA. These he got over the weekend, SQ8MFB, UR3CTB, IZ1RZO, ZL4CZ, KL0TQ, KL0TQ/MM, UR4MSF, YO4RIU, UR9MC, VK8NSB, 7J7ACT, A61ZZ, VK9CZ, UR3CTB, ES5QD, ZL3MYL. Dave adds, “I forgot to mention the KL0TQ/MM was maritime mobile in Honolulu Harbour Hawaii. The band has been in outstanding shape. I quite often check on the band conditions throughout the day on my mobile. Between work, family and other commitments I just have not had the time to turn the radio on.”
And on the 9th and 10th Dave is into “rag chew” mode with Myles, 5B4AHY, OH7WP, ZL3MYL, ZL3MYL, ZL1MPU, ZL1MPU, ZL1ZLD, ZL3MYL, ZL3MYL, ZL3MYL.

Jaco, PE2JB , work a few good ones on Saturday. TY3AY 5/9, EA8/DL2VA 5/4, EA8OB 5/9, YF1AR 5/7, OA6Q 5/9, CP6XE 5/5, CX8DS 5/5 and 9Y4D 5/9. On Tuesday he got BG4ACE 5/5, JA3KVT 5/9, VK6WB 5/5, 4S7AVR 5/9 and VU2XO 5/5.

On Saturday, Arie, 9W2VVH, who seems to work lots of DX, worked 5W0W, ES5QD, R3AP, VU2HOT, OM2VL, MW0ZZK, G4ATA, M0UTD, G4ELJ, OE4MXB, F8BEC, IK2DIA, DO5OT, I3ZSX, SP2DKI, IK2WJT, IZ4NSV, UT4NR, IZ2ODT, LX1AX, F4BMY, F1EMX, EI7IP, OK1IWS, SP5EWX, SP8CUR & SP9AQF.
He comments, “New contact with 5W0W Western Samoa - my 144 DXCC. So far wkd 3 SP stns in SP DX Contest. im in SOSB 10m low and Hpe to get more SP stations”. Sunday he worked the SP DX Contest- SP6OJK, SN8N, SP5ENM, SP6OJJ, HF9Q, SQ9ANT, SQ9ORQ & SP7FI. Total 11 QSOs, 33 points, 6 mults = 198 score.

Sun: 6 sunspot clusters with AR1718 and AR1719 posing a threat for M-class solar flares.

Stoke City lost to Villa and we are now in free fall at 15th place and a real prospect of relegation. Next match is against Man United at the Brit. Oh dear!
