TM70BBC is the special event station activated to celebrate the 70 th anniversary of the Normandy landings of June 4 to July 21, 2014. The Castle tower Creully was the first studio of the Britiish Broadcasting Company established in France from June 7 to July 21, 1944 which hosted newspaper war correspondents around the world, on the Normandy front in 1944.

During the period of the station’s activities, the Radio Museum will be open free to the public. QSLs are via buro or F5UOW ($ 2 or € 2) but no IRC.

A special award will be offered to stations that contact TM70BBC on 3 different bands, regardless of mode. The award is free if you desire a digital image of the award. Just send QSO data in an e-mail to . If a paper certificate is requested, a contribution of 5€ will be requested to cover costs.
