June 11, 2015

Wow! look at the lists below, very little activity with poor conditions up to Sunday when things really improved.

The main DX was D3AM (Angola), 5U5U (Niger), HI3TT (Dominican Republic), ZW110ROAR (Brazil) and XR44COPA (Chile).

Thursday, Mauricio, CE7KF, worked AO150A, DK65DARC, UR9IDX and FG4NN and heard DC7BQ, RK6FO, AO150U and ZD7TF.
He says, “XR44COPA is special event station for Cup America 2015 for CPDXG”
Me, I haven’t worked a sausage!

Sun: 7 sunspots, so the sun is a bit more active this week. A magnetic filament connected to sunspot AR2364 erupted on June 9th around 1900 UT, producing a C3-class solar flare. Material flying away from the blast site might deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field later this week. (spaceweather.com)

3 Stoke City players played for The Republic of Ireland soccer team in a goalless draw against England. Just a friendly, Jon Walters should have scored but he blasted the ball right at the England keeper.

England did beat New Zealand in the 1 st ODI, but its not real cricket.
