This award commemorates the life and work of Father Maximilian Kolbe.


Maximilian Maria Kolbe, O.F.M. 8 January 1894 – 14 August 1941) was a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar, who volunteered to die in place of a stranger in the German death camp of Auschwitz, located in German-occupied Poland during World War II. He was active in promoting the veneration of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, founding and supervising the monastery of Niepokalanów near Warsaw, operating a radio station, and founding or running several other organizations and publications.
Kolbe was canonized on 10 October 1982 by Pope John Paul II, and declared a martyr of charity. He is the patron saint of drug addicts, political prisoners, families, journalists, prisoners, the pro-life movement and amateur radio. John Paul II declared him "The Patron Saint of Our Difficult Century".
He was also a Polish amateur radio operator holding the call sign SP3RN.


The award is offered by the Polish Amateur Radio Union initiative of SP7PZS Zdunska Wola Amateur Radio Club and Amateur Radio Society pabianicki SP7PTK. It is expected that the award will be delivered on or about January 2016.

Requirements: Earn at least 20 points.

Point Values:
1. One point for communication with the stations located in : Zdunska Wola, Pabianice, Niepokalanów SSB (individual and club).
2. Two points for communication with the station for QTH: Zdunska Wola, Pabianice, Niepokalanów CW or digital (individual and club).
3. Five points for communication with the special event stations 3ZØMK or HFØMK,
4. Ten points for communication with the special event stations 3ZØMK / ... HFØMK /


Confirmation of communications or SWL QSL cards are in paper or electronic form. (LoTW and eQSL). In the case of confirmation of communication with the club station on the QSL card should find a note with the name of the operator.

Paper QSL cards will be sent to stations at the request of the operator. Paper cards sent bt direct mail will be delivered in envelopes SASE (envelope with the return address and postage stamp or coupon IRC). Sending a SASE envelope is tantamount to a paper by sending requests for direct QSL card.

Up to 30 Sept .2015 via e-mail 3z0mk.sp7pzs@gmail.com ,
Up to 31 Oct. 2015 via mail - paper filing, send to the club address: Zdunska Wola SP7PZS Amateur Radio Club, ul. Ceramic 10, 98-220 Zdunska Wola, Poland.
On or after January 2016 cards and diplomas will be mailed.


Fees for issuing diploma:
a. Polish stations, members of the PAC 15,00 zl.
b.. Polish stations affiliated to the ECV 20,00 zl.
c.  Foreign stations 10,00 €.


The fee includes the cost of delivery of the diploma by mail.

The fee must be made to: Lodz Regional Office PAC, AFTER. Box 442, 90-950 Lodz 1, POLAND.
