TONY'S 10 METRE BAND REPORT - November 26, 2015

November 26, 2015

VK9WA (Willis Is) was easily the most popular DX all week except Thursday when S79C (Seychelles) was top. But there were certainly more DX stations about - VP2ECC (Anguila), ZD8G (Ascension Is) (though there is very little info about this call) and ZD8AA.

John C6ATS reports the following, “The latest national spectrum plan for the Bahamas does not include the 10m band between 28.0 and 29.7MHz. I have written to the authorities to try to clarify the situation.”

That surely has to be a mistake! John please report back when you have more info.

Mike, 2E0YYY had a bumper Sunday. He worked F4FHT 5/5, SV1KWG 5/9, GM7VSB 5/3.
SV1JRS 5/7, EA8QL 5/9, CX6DRA 5/9, CX2AG 5/9, CX7DK 5/8, LU8DK 5/8, PU3MAK 5/5, PY3TM 5/9, RA3RLJ 5/9, ZS1AN 5/9, ZS4L 5/5, 5B4AAB 5/9, ZS1CDG 5/5, ZD7FT 5/7, ZS1ZC 5/7, G8FWP 5/1, PU5PEO 5/9, CA3LMO 5/5, EA8/G4SZS/P 5/9, LU7ADN 5/9, EA8CW 5/9, LU2ICA 5/9, EA8/DK5AN 5/8, CX8DX 5/9.

“Hi Tony, On Sunday, I spent a couple of hours working with the beam and calling CQ from the radio shack. Once again, South America was finding my log. Good to find the band open to South Africa. Oddly enough, I couldn't buy a contact into North America.”

Friday PY2VOA, Faustino worked PY6RL 5/9 and Saturday PY3VFR 5/7, PU2YVW 5/5, PU5IKE 5/9, PU2RTA 5/5, PY2NL 5/9 and PU7TFG 5/9.
