TONY'S 10 METRE BAND REPORT - March 31, 2016

March 31, 2016
Nothing heard by me even during the contest.

I have been experimenting with JT65-HF HB9HQX version on 28.076MHz. It links with Ham Radio Deluxe log book. I did work G6BDV on it and heard a couple of PYs but more on this as I get to use it.
Top DX during the contest was D41CV (Cape Verde). The rest of the week it was FH/F2DX and FH/F6BEE (Mayotte), CN2PM (Morocco), D4Z (Cape Verde) and J8/WW2DX (Grenadine Is).

Sun: Solar activity remains very low. There is only one sunspot facing Earth, and it has a stable magnetic field that poses little threat for explosions. NOAA forecasters say there is no more than a 1% chance of strong solar flares today. (spaceweather.com)

Internationals the past week. Stoke City goal keeper, Jack Butland fractured his ankle in the match against Germany. He’ll be out for 3 months. Swansea at the Brit this coming Saturday. I’ll be there.
